Did you know that we paint the sloths nails before releasing them? It’s part of the release check-up and when releasing an animal it's important to be able to identify them. Along with the microchip, we paint their nails so as to be able to quickly recognize if the sloth was ever at our center. This ables us to keep track and check if they are doing well by themselves. Don’t worry! We use a natural nail polish and it doesn’t harm the sloth, in fact they don’t even notice it and it's temporary. S
