A broadfork is a tool that lifts and loosens soil without pulverizing soil structure or flipping over soil layers. Here are three tips for easier broadforking: 1) Don’t bounce on your broadfork. Jumping or stomping may damage your knees. Apply your body weight and a rocking motion front to back to cut down into the soil. 2) A side to side motion may bend the fork’s teeth sideways.
