2024年7月1日 · In this case e.g. 240Hz without VRR is also a solution but even at 240Hz you will get visible stuttering - just not as visible at 240Hz. Input lag will be higher without VRR unless you also disable V-Sync. If you do then you get tearing (and stuttering!) - which again isn't as visible at 240Hz as it would be at lower refresh rate but still visible.

2022年7月26日 · OLED displays are too dim to support strobing, so they are limited to 240Hz motion and require FPS capping. The advantage of OLED is its ability to display deeper black levels in games. However, this can actually be a disadvantage when something is hiding in the dark and you cannot see it. This is why I prefer the profile on Zowie TN monitors.

2020年1月18日 · I don't see IPS doing 240Hz strobing artifact free but maybe it'll be good for perfect 144~165Hz or so strobing (the old 27" 165Hz alternative only allows max 120Hz for comparison). Somehow I feel testing for example 120Hz vs 144Hz strobing makes a bigger impact on motion smoothness than the same step without strobing so to me that small step ...

2004年7月1日 · An OLED gaming tv works fine (for gaming at least), barring any discrepancies in features between OLED gaming tvs and monitors (currently, 240Hz 4k is limited for the most part to gaming monitors but a new hdmi 2.2 spec is being released which might change that in the following years). . . . . .

2023年6月20日 · All I want is a 32" 4K 240Hz FLAT OLED, QD OLED is preferred but after seeing just how hard the brightness has been nerfed on these monitors I'm thinking this is also a moot point. Who cares about color volume/saturation at higher brightness levels when the monitors can't even reach those higher brightness levels in the first place.

They are finally starting to release monitors with specs that I feel are worthy of splurging a bit. 240hz 4k with great color accuracy has me very interested despite my fear of burn in with OLED. I am assuming there may be mini-led updates and lcd updates.
