Solidus was created as part of the Les Enfants Terribles project, and is the third son of Big Boss. "Solidus" is a chemisty term (might not be entirely accurate, I'm not a chemist), which is the highest temperature for Metal where it's still solid, before it begins melting. Basically, the middle point between solid and liquid.

Solid Snake has certain qualities that could be described as autistic, such as emotional distancing (as an Aspie, “other people just complicate my life.
