Can O2 tank be filled with CO2? - Homebrew Talk
2009年1月14日 · Was thinking take the four 20 pound bottles but fill three with Co2 and one with Nitro/Co2 mix for the stouts. One big bottle might not be owner owned. If I can not get a core exchange or any core value i'll plasma it into a Chinese gong by cutting the top off then weld on a chain and hang it as yard art.
Alternative to London Ale III - Homebrew Talk
2018年3月3日 · I am tired of Wyeast London Ale III quitting on me. Last two times I've used it, it gets stuck at ~1.024 or so and will not budge, even if I raise the fermentation temperature. The most recent time I used it, I made a 2L starter with another 2L step up, with a final pitch rate of ~1.7 Million cells/mL/P. Again, it quit at 1.025.
Three Questions About Sanitization - Homebrew Talk
2008年10月29日 · I went to the LHBS to get some extract (Christmas stout time!) and see if I could exchange the K-meta. They immediately gave me a jar of "cleaning" solution and told me they were sorry. Over the next few minutes it became apparent that they believed the K-meta was a good sanitizer and that the cleaning solution -- Chlorinated Trisodium ...
My Spent Grain Bread is not turning out right. I need some help …
2008年4月12日 · This is the first round of Spent Grain Bread I made and after cooking it is still doughy and sticky in the middle. I did the use a metal kebab skewer to test if it is done. It came out pretty clean but somewhat sticky. This was after an hour and 10 minutes. Below is the recipe and method I used. Any help from the bakers out there is really ...
RO Water VS Distilled - Homebrew Talk
2008年12月29日 · Not sure what you mean by 'salts'. Do you mean water softened with water-softening salts? They typically exchange sodium ions for calcium and magnesium ions. So that would add plenty of sodium to the water. Hardness is generally measured/calculated from CaCO3 and the harder it is, the more minerals it will have, particularly calcium and magnesium.
Carbon Monoxide Poisoning - Homebrew Talk
2014年1月20日 · Now with our highly insulated modern homes air exchange doesn’t happen as much. If we use high cfm exhaust fans to remove fumes over a cook top we might actually be causing a negative pressure in the house and start pulling air back down a chimney.
Flow Control Disconnects | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead,
2023年3月29日 · 1. As they’re metal they can be problematic with odd post tolerances. Sometimes a cold disconnect will not go on to a warm keg post as the slight changes in size due to metal expansion/contraction. 2. Under really high pressure they have been known to blow out the poppet seal. Not happened to me yet. 3.
Melted 40Amp FOTEK SSR - Homebrew Talk
2014年10月21日 · 3 out of 3 40Amp FOTEK SSRs installed on 25Amp circuits experienced sticking while bringing strike and heat exchange water up to initial temps. A big fan of contactors and multiple circuit breakers in the panel....they have already paid for themselves. Not a big fan of FOTEK.....I just switched to Auber.
How to avoid over/under shoot with HERMS in HLT?
2006年11月21日 · I set my PID to 7F above my desired mash temp. I begin pumping my strike water thru the heat exchange coil. I mash in when the strike water is 5F above my desired mash temp. I turn off the pump, add the grain, and stir. I then set my PID to 2F above my desired mash temp and then begin recirculating wort thru the heat exchange coil.
co2 refill in Atlanta? | Homebrew Talk - Beer, Wine, Mead, & Cider ...
2013年7月10日 · Ace Hardware in Smyrna will do it but it's kind of pricey. Like about $20 and they charge a flat fee, not by the amount they dispense. That's still better than the exchange though because they fill it all the way instead of only 15 pounds you get from exchanging. I think some U-haul locations will fill as well, and I think they are cheaper than ...
