They've found an incredible niche in the FPS genre and executed on the concept to near perfection, it's remarkable to me.

As a variant, the game could rotate the partial clip to the end of your “clip queue” so you don’t actually lose any bullets. But really actiony stuff like Doom does better without reloading.
