2007年12月3日 · The Max's require a cable with an Analog to Digital Converter (ADC). Also it must convert the analog signal to AAC for the AirPods. Cables that come with the iPhone (or 3ed party) are just the opposite and have a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC). This built in electronics are actually a large part of the high price.

2008年6月18日 · Sorry for spreading false speculation. I was basing this on other experiences with USB-C headphones and just assumed that the AirPod Max would work the same way. The USB-C to 3.5mm adapter from Apple is known to be bidirectional, so I wonder why that solution doesn't work with the AirPods.
