2020年4月1日 · I have the Nikon Coolpix P1000 and the camera freezes quite frequently. Requiring a battery dump. Out in the field this causes missed moment and photos. Does anyone else have this issue? Ive tried searching online and found the P900 had something like this. Is it a setting I have on messing it up? Or is it probably a Firmware update to wait on.

The advice I’ve gotten from other birders is that the Nikon P1000 is pretty much the best OK - we need to define some terms here. Birder: Just wants to document what they see. Having any photo of the subject is what matters. Bird Photographer: The quality of the resulting photograph is what is important. The end-goals are different.

If so I wonder if I should buy one before they run out of stock! However I have also read many remarks that the picture quality is rather bad, especially at the high, and highest zoom factors.

2021年5月20日 · There is no equivalent to the Nikon P1000. That kind of zoom range is not possible on a bigger sensor camera unless the lens is really massive. Tiny sensor like the P1000 makes it easy to make a lens with massive zoom range. Even an APS-C sensor will have 12 times the area of a P1000 and if someone made an equivalent zoom lens, it will be massive.
