Nearly 49,000 electric chainsaws and pole saws are being recalled in the U.S. after reports that a faulty switch could cause the tools to keep running, posing a laceration hazard.

More than 50,000 chainsaws and pole saws were recalled across North America Thursday due to laceration risks, Health Canada said.
