The Gathering card game, is partnering with Legendary Studios to create live-action movies and TV shows adapting its fantasy world a la the Marvel Cinematic Universe.As reported by Deadline, plans are underway to develop a live-action movie and TV show based on Magic: The Gathering in addition to an animated series that's already in production with Netflix.

"Magic: The Gathering," the trading card game played in basements around the globe since 1993, is set for major film and TV adaptations from Legendary Entertainment and Hasbro. The toy maker and Hollywood mini-major behind the "Godzilla" and "Dune" franchises will create "a live-action feature film and television universe" based on the fantasy series,

Legendary Entertainment has partnered with Hasbro Entertainment to develop a Magic: The Gathering movie and TV universe. This comes after more than three decades since Wizards of the Coast debuted the popular trading card game created by Richard Garfield.
