Houston, we have some production. Apple announced Tuesday that it will be making its Mac Mini desktop computer in the US for the first time, shifting some manufacturing from its Asian plants, and will also increase AI server production at its existing Houston facility.

Apple is expanding its Houston campus to assemble Mac minis and increase AI server output, deepening its U.S. manufacturing presence and workforce training efforts.

The plan marks Apple's most recent U.S. investment, following its commitment announced last year to invest $600B in the U.S. over the next four years.

Shares of Apple ( AAPL +2.28%) rose on Tuesday after the technology titan highlighted its progress toward bringing more of its manufacturing operations to the U.S. By the close of trading, Apple's stock price was up more than 2%.
