In a recent blog post, Google announced several new runtimes for the App Engine service on its cloud platform. These runtimes are Node.js 12, Go 1.13, PHP 7.3 and Python 3.8.

Today, Google announced that App Engine is gaining support for the wildly popular Node.js JavaScript run-time.

Like Microsoft Azure and AWS, Google Cloud offers both PaaS and IaaS, as well as a wide range of services. Google’s PaaS, App Engine, is at the heart of its cloud.
