此次交易是早期买方购买目标公司 80% 股份所应付对价的一部分。早期出售事项的总对价为 2.4 亿瑞典克朗，其中 1.8 亿瑞典克朗以现金支付，剩余的 6000 万瑞典克朗以发行本票方式支付。

去年，尽管全球电动汽车市场增长了25%，但特斯拉的汽车销量却下降了1%。马斯克没有针对这一业绩不佳的情况作出说明，也没有提出恢复销量的具体计划。对于特斯拉声称将于今年开始生产的更实惠车型，他也没有提供任何细节。在过去，马斯克通常会在车辆上市前的数月甚至数年里大力宣传。
