Connor Zary Suspended For Elbowing Canucks Defender Elias Pettersson
The Vancouver Canucks took two points last night against the Calgary Flames, but along with Tyler Myers missing the game, they may be out another defenseman. Elias Pettersson (D) missed the majority of the game after being on the receiving end of an elbow by Flames forward Connor Zary.
Zary will have a hearing with the Department of Player Safety on Thursday for elbowing.
Zary was assessed a minor penalty for interference on the play at 11:19 of the first period Wednesday night. The suspension will cost the 23-year-old Zary $8,993 in salary.
