Awesome tour! The audio commentary is very detailed. Overall with ferry ride tour was about 2 hours. Ferry ride is only about 15 mins each way. msalex_p的完整评论

We did the Alzatraz behind the scenes tour. I loved the tour, our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. What really let the day down was our tour finished at 1700. There was no ferry until 1840.… L77leb的完整评论
If you are in San Fran for 2 days and two nights with 3 children. Do you do the Alcatraz tickets on their own or a combo with a bus tour. Are all Alcatraz tours the same 2.5 hours which is the best company to book with? We have a car. but hear parking is an issue.

Hi, It depends on how old your children are. If they are small, I wouldn't recommend going there and the tour. They would be bored. If they are older, it would be fine. I just did the tour by itself without a bus combo. I think the bus tour separate would be good as well. Also, I'm sure you will jump on and off the cable cars. Parking on the street can be challenging, but there are also parking garages, lots, etc. The Alcatraz tour we took started at a Pier (don't remember which one) and there is a parking lot right across the street. You take a boat over and, yes, all tours take about 2 1/2 hrs. I highly recommend the audio tour which takes you through at your own pace and explains what you are looking at. Then there are guides at times that demonstrate how they locked down the prisoners etc. Very interesting, but a commitment in time for sure, and again, based on the age of the children, would be a consideration. Hope this helps! Have fun!!!
